A quick trip to the supermercado? Not with Bebé in the shopping cart!

Just as Mamá is ready to throw up her manos, she gives sweet Bebé a box of animal cookies. A dulce, at last! He finds a camel, nibbles on a giraffe . . . eats an oso. Then they’re off to the checkout line, smiling all the way.

Get ready for a bilingual twist on a universal experience—and a tender look at the mother-and-child love that exists only at the heart of a grocery store.
Susan Middleton Elya Susan Middleton Elya is the author of more than fifteen books for children, including the Say Hola to Spanish series, illustrated by Loretta Lopez, and Oh No, Gotta Go!, a Junior Library Guild Selection illustrated by G. Brian Karas. Susan taught Spanish for ten years and now lives in northern California with her husband, three children, and two dogs. She used to shop with babies, and although they were cute, they were never very helpful! www.susanelya.com
